Richmond Home + Garden Show – Over these many months of the pandemic, the way we collectively think about home has changed. Banding Together: A Benefit Concert for RPS Elementary School Music Programs – In light of the devastating Fox Elementary School fire, a coalition of local musicians and community partners came together for a benefit concert for RPS Elementary School Music Programs on Saturday, March 5and at Broadberry. Many members of our RVA music community live in the Fan; some a few blocks from the school that just burned down. We feel compelled to give back and offer our support during this difficult time.

The fire was a tragedy, but RPS’ manhttps://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#inboxy schools are already wiped out – without a fire having to do it for them. Let’s take advantage of this moment of benevolence, born of a drama, and spread it in all the elementary schools of the RPS.

In partnership with The Broadberry, the Fox PTA and local musicians including NO BS! Brass, Fear of Music, and more, we’ll use a sliding scale for concert tickets (starting at $20) and donate 100% of proceeds directly to the RPS Education Foundation to purchase musical instruments for elementary schools. The evening program will begin at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.).

There will also be a kid-focused daytime program (2 p.m. doors, 2:30 p.m. show), free for kids 12 and under, featuring the Diggity Dudes, Jonathan the Juggler, and more.

100% of ticket proceeds from the March 4 concert at The Camel (1621 W Broad St) featuring Honest Debts and the Jared Stout Band will also be donated to RPS Elementary School Music Programs.
