Raleigh, North Carolina – Logan’s Garden Shop, a family-owned garden center and cafe located in downtown Raleigh, sells their property to Seaboard Station and relocates.
The garden store has been located at Seaboard Station since 1991, after Robert Logan Jr. bought the historic station. The Logan family restored the station to become Logan’s Trading Company. Today, the once quiet corner of downtown Raleigh is teeming with new businesses and construction.
Last year in Washington, DC, developers Hoffman and Associates unveiled a plan to invest $ 300 million in the Seaboard Station area to build three new apartment buildings, from retail to the level of the street, restaurants, underground parking and a hotel.

In a letter from Logan’s, the owners said they would not sell the business.
“We are selling the Seaboard Station property to explore how best to adapt our business model to accommodate the growth we have seen, improve the customer experience, and create a sustainable business model for the future,” the letter states. .
The owners said they were hopeful that a new location would serve their customers better.
“It was not an easy decision to make,” the letter said. “We are convinced that this is the right solution for the future of the company.”
The garden store and cafe will remain in downtown Raleigh for several years, according to the post.
