Ken Lain, the mountain gardener at Watters Garden Center in Prescott, AZ, is excited to continue offering free gardening classes each week in March!
From springtime soil stains to evergreen landscapes, Watters has the perfect gardening class for you! In March Watters Garden Center is also delighted to invite everyone to the 60th Annual Spring Open Day and 2022 New Plant Intro! There will be special classes, happy hour with plants, and more! Whether you’re new to gardening or you’re an experienced gardener, there’s something new for everyone.
March 5 at 9:30 a.m. – Spring to-do list for better gardens
Finally, a to-do list you’ll really enjoy! This course deals with all the “P”s of the garden: preparation, prevention, protection and pruning.
March 11 & 12 – Watters 60th Spring Open House and New Plant Introductions 2022
- Friday at 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
Advanced gardeners and newcomers alike will learn all about spring this weekend as we get geeky with plants.
Starting next week, our classes will take place on Fridays from 3 to 4 p.m., until the end of April
March 18 at 3 p.m. – Evergreen landscapes and bark beetles
This class not only covers the conifers that grow most successfully, but the simple steps to protect them from stress and environmental intruders like borers and bark beetles, and more.
March 25 at 3 p.m. – Suitable planting in mountain soils
We’ll take an in-depth look at how to successfully plant your personal paradise. We’ll discuss techniques for brighter, more beautiful gardens, and how to keep them healthy.
