Gosport’s new dog-friendly Alver Valley garden center with shops, ice cream bar and playground

Gosport’s brand new garden center will be open to visitors for the first time next week. Located off Barrington Close, the Alver Garden Center is described as an ideal meeting place to keep visitors happy whatever the weather.

Your local garden center group, which also runs the Stansted Park Garden Center near Havant, announced that the doors would open at 9am on Monday April 11. It will include a grand café, children’s play area, restrooms, ice cream bar and meeting room, which can be booked for community meetings, parties and events.

With the main building covering an area of ​​5,400 m², Pavers shoes, Klass women’s fashion and Happy hot tubs are among the business partners included. Klass, described as the leading fashion retailer for garden centers across the UK, has previously confirmed to HampshireLive that it will be offering 20% ​​off everything from opening until the following Monday (April 18).

From Monday (April 11), the garden center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The children’s play area will unfortunately not be completed until June, but visitors will be able to enjoy The Gardener’s Kitchen from next week.

Described as a ‘ state-of-the-art restaurant, The Gardener’s Kitchen will provide panoramic view of the surrounding natural park of the Alver Valley. According to the website, the restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Garden Center’s location is enhanced by nearby attractions including the Little Woodham Living History Village which recently reopened to the public. Additionally, Alver Valley National Park is a popular place for dog walkers, and Your Local Garden Center Group has recognized this by allowing dogs into Gosport’s new garden centre.
